We’d like to invite the Toronto music community to use Music Canada’s 4479 logos for promotion on gig posters and venue advertisements. Don’t get scared off by the agreement – we’re just making sure that the 4479 logo best serves Toronto’s music community! If you’d like to use a 4479 logo for some other purpose or in a way that differs from what is shown below, please contact us first at info@4479Toronto.ca and we’ll decide whether that kind of use is okay.  If you use any of the 4479 logos, you will automatically be licensed to do so under the terms of our trade-mark licence.  Important licencing provisions as well as a link to the licence are set out below. Please read both before you decide whether to use one of our logos.

Usage Guidelines:

The 4479 logo should not be reduced to any size smaller than .75” wide.

To ensure the greatest visual impact, the logo must always maintain a clear space around it, as defined by the examples on this page.
Note that the measurement of space surrounding the logo is equivalent to the width of the “7” from the logo. The space is proportional to the logo, no matter how large or small it gets.

Consistency is critical to maintain a strong brand identity.
For that reason the logo cannot be altered in any way. Many individual elements combine to create the 4479 logo, including colour, positioning, spacing, proportions and size. None of these elements may be changed. Please see examples of incorrect usage below.

If you download or otherwise copy one or more of the 4479 logos (each a “Logo”), you are automatically licensed to do so and to use the Logo pursuant to the terms of a non-exclusive trade-mark licence agreement with Music Canada.  The agreement can be found at https://4479toronto.ca/trademark-agreement/. (the “Licence”).  Your use of the Logo is subject to the terms of the Licence. You have no independent right to display, reproduce or otherwise use any Logo. We have the absolute right to terminate the licence and therefore your right to display the Logo at any time at our discretion.
