Toronto noise by-law public consultation scheduled for February 17
February 12th, 2016
The City of Toronto’s Municipal Licensing & Standards (ML&S) Division is welcoming community members and stakeholders to a consultation at City Hall regarding noise by-law regulations.
ML&S has set up the public consultation to discuss the feedback they received on their proposed noise by-law amendments since the January 22 meeting, in which members of the Toronto Music Advisory Council (TMAC), artists, and venue owners provided oral submissions. For the upcoming consultation, live music venue owners and operators will have a platform to voice their concerns over the noise by-law amendments directly to the Licensing & Standards Committee.
The consultation will take place:
Wednesday, February 17, 2016
6:30 – 8:00 pm
Committee Room 1
Toronto City Hall
Music Canada Live has outlined an action plan for venue owners and stakeholders looking to get involved, which involves attending the consultation on February 17, and writing a detailed letter to the Licensing & Standards Committee on behalf of your venue/company.
The Toronto Music Industry Advisory Council posted their call for action through a detailed post on their new Facebook page, as well as the new TMAC Twitter account.
